One of the most forward thinking minds in business today, John got his start following trends. Literally. One of his first career steps was working for MegaTrends author and futurist John Naisbitt where he worked to identify and monitor trends and eventually became CEO.
Nothing has changed. But now, after serving as CMO for VISA International, President of First Data International, and creating a leading marketing agency of his own, FutureBrand, John is now setting trends and helping redefine the all-important content adaptation category with innovative marketing platform services.
John has been on the Elateral board since 2009 and accepted the non-executive Chairman role in February 2017. John has been steering Elateral’s development as a leading innovator in marketing technology that truly transforms content supply chain economics. Elateral’s IaaS platform reduces time to market and unit production costs for delivering consistent localized marketing campaigns providing a much more efficient marketing ROI for client CMO’s, agency and studio executives.
Beyond Elateral, John has been at the leading edge of thought leadership in marketing, branding and corporate reputation for the past 25 years. He was Executive Vice President and CMO of Global Brand, Marketing & Communications at Visa International where he launched their first major repositioning in 30 years, initiated a worldwide corporate reputation program and managed global sponsorships with organizations such as FIFA and the International Olympic Committee.
As the Founder, Chairman and CEO of FutureBrand, he built, acquired and managed 23 offices globally with over 1000 employees. John previously sat on numerous boards and committees including the United Nations Advisory Group for Inclusive Financial Services, First Data JV Board – Wells Fargo Merchant Services and the World Travel and Tourism Council Executive Committee.
Besides Elateral he currently sits on the Boards of RS2 PLC and FINCA International.
