The Company

The History

Elateral's roots date back to 1996, with a small group of technologists hidden away in the corner of a larger print and creative services company. They were driven by a single idea: combining digital printing presses, and the World Wide Web. They could see a way of delivering marketing communications on-demand by using the World Wide Web in a unique way, not as a virtual online catalogue like everyone else at the time, but as the means of delivering access to a software application connected to marketing service providers around the world.

In 1998, a management buyout by the current management spun the business out from its parent to build a commercial offering around this innovative technology. Over the next few years some $40m was invested in building and delivering an enterprise-strength application platform, initially focusing on the needs of the hi-tech technology sector, and subsequently to meet the needs of a diverse range of sectors from Automotive to Travel, Business Services to Food and Drink.
