John has been at the leading edge of thinking in marketing, branding and corporate reputation for the past 25 years. For the past 5 years he was Executive Vice President of Global Brand, Marketing and Communications at Visa International where he launched their first major repositioning in 30 years, initiated a worldwide corporate reputation program and managed global sponsorships with organizations such as FIFA, the International Olympic Committee and the Rugby World Cup.
John is also a successful entrepreneur; he was the Founder, Chairman and CEO of FutureBrand where he built, acquired and managed 23 offices globally with over 1000 employees. He was also Co-Founder and President of DiefenbachElkins, a future forecast and strategy business that grew significantly in employees, clients and revenues between1990-1995 before being acquired by IPG. Other senior positions have included CEO of the globally recognised firm The Naisbitt Group.
John sits on numerous boards and committees including the United Nations Advisory Group for Inclusive Financial Services, the World Economic Forum, FINCA Board of Directors and the World Travel and Tourism Council Executive Committee.
Paul has 15 years of Sales, Marketing and Leadership experience in the Technology Sector. Prior to joining Elateral, Paul was Regional Manager for UK, Nordics and Africa at American Power Conversion, a Rhode Island based computer peripherals manufacturer. While at APC Paul grew revenues for his region from $8m to $43m and managed a team that grew from 4 to 63 based in 6 countries. APC gave Paul first hand experience of the challenges faced by marketers needing effective communications and marketing programs across diverse routes to markets and country needs.
Paul joined Elateral in June 1998 as the founding member of Elateral's Sales and Marketing effort, Paul was responsible for setting the positioning and sales strategy for the company. Personally closing all the initial clients, Paul grew the Sales and Marketing organization.
Becoming CEO in 2002, Paul has retained a pivotal role in managing key client relationships, selling to landmark accounts and building a cash positive and profitable business.
Paul is recognized as Marketing on Demand visionary and works closely with some of the world's most notable brand-obsessed organizations in transforming their marketing processes. He speaks at a number of leading marketing events and holds a Masters degree in Communication, Information and Electronic Engineering from Plymouth (UK) University.
After raising seed venture funding from 3i Group in January 1998 to spin Elateral out of its parent, Angus came to Elateral as Managing Director. Prior to 1998 Angus had joined a high tech engineering business, Straightpoint Ltd, as a start-up where he was originally responsible for Production, then Research and Development, and latterly their international Sales and Marketing arm. Under his stewardship world-wide distribution channels were built up, selling product into more than 40 countries world-wide. Between 1988 and 1990, Angus also founded and ran a software company developing and selling CNC machine-tool control systems to large engineering companies.
Since joining Elateral, Angus has been instrumental in building the business from three employees to what it is today. He has played a key part in the company's growth over almost ten years, from the early conception and development of the business model, through raising more than £22m in multiple rounds of venture capital funding, to building a fast growing, cash positive and profitable business and securing Elateral's biggest client contract.
Angus is married with two children, and is a keen mountain biker and yachtsman.
Peter, an Elateral founder, with over 15 years of professional software development experience, has been instrumental in the vision behind the Elateral product range, and in transforming that vision into reality.
Before founding Elateral in 1997, Peter was a Development Manager at PhoneLink, an information services company based in the North West of England. While he was with PhoneLink, the company grew from a new technology start-up with a staff of 12 to a 250 strong London Stock Exchange listed organisation.
From the beginning Peter has played a key part in the company's growth and has been involved in all aspects of the business. In particular, he manages a team of highly productive developers while maintaining a strong focus on his own areas of technical expertise: software design & development, hosting and infrastructure.
Peter holds a Joint Honours Degree in Computer Science and Electronics from Staffordshire University.
Peter is married with two children and has a keen interest in music, film and football.
Kiko is an Investment Director at SPARK Ventures and was part of its founding team in 1999. Prior to SPARK, Kiko spent two years with NewMedia Investors assisting clients such as Lastminute.com, Silicon.com and System C Healthcare in raising more than £30 million in venture capital.
While at SPARK, Kiko has executed a number of investments in the digital media and enterprise software sectors. Kiko currently represents SPARK in investments in Secerno, Firebox, DX3, Academia and Community Internet and also assists Tom Teichman in Mydeco.com, Notonthehighstreet.com and We7. Kiko has also been involved in the sales of Touch Clarity (sold to Omniture), Synaptic Systems (sold to Capita) and Identum (sold to Trend Micro).
Kiko holds an MBA in Finance (ESADE 2005) and a BA in Philosophy (University of Manchester).
